In Heaven The sky has long been our canvas for utopian visions, psychedelic travel, and heavenly dreams. In this programme, mezzo Olivia Vermeulen and pianist Jan Philip Schulze bring you along on a cosmic odyssey, in which music explores the boundless possibilities of the sky. Moon songs by Schubert and Brahms, intoxicating mélodies by Saint-Saëns and Debussy, followed by a rocket to the stars with Crumb, Stockhausen, David Bowie (‘Space Oddity’), Jefferson Airplane (‘White Rabbit’), and many others. Celestial bliss!
Olivia Vermeulen – mezzo-soprano Jan Philip Schulze – piano
