Ilja Reijngoud and Ed Verhoeff have known each other for a very long time, and during that time these two Dutch jazz giants have found many ways to surpass traditional styles. Their secret: interaction, freedom, and joy of playing. The interplay between their trombone and guitar is explosively amplified by the use of electronics. Soundscapes, free improvisation in combination with lyricism and musical dialogue are their core principles in repertoire ranging from Rogier van Otterloo and Jerry van Rooyen to Jasper van ’t Hof and Eric Vloeimans.
