Boys Won’t Be Boys A unique performance about masculinity, sexuality, and identity. Somewhere between jazz, baroque, cabaret music, contemporary and classical music, dance, and spoken word – in combination with relatable, gripping stories of composers and the people onstage. Rikkert van Huisstede, armed with killer heels, presents a performance in which prejudices and stereotypes are broken down. Because labels? They’re only on what you dress with until you are who you really are. With works by Schubert, Nico Muhly, Billy Strayhorn, Harry Bannink, and many, many others.

Is there kids’ programming?
Yes, on every festival day there is a program for kids, check out our Kids page for more information. And: entrance is free for children and youth up to 18 years! They do need an entrance ticket, which you can order through the ticketshop.
