‘A dove from heaven’, not an exaggeration in the slightest when said about the lauded mezzosoprano Lea Desandre – except this dove is not a bird to handle without gloves. Before you know it, pieces are flying everywhere and you’re defeated. As a member of master lutist Thomas Dunford’s ensemble Jupiter, she will deliver passion and contemplation in this programme. It doesn’t get any better for a closing concert.
