Spellbound by Albania It won’t come as a surprise that the music of the Western Balkans, and particularly a very specific style of polyphonic song, dates back for many centuries. The style was even added to the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage Lists in 2005; a strong basis for folk group Bilbili – ‘nightingale’ in Albanian – to work from. Their repertoire includes songs, dances, and traditional music, all of which gain extra shine through the group’s authentic folklore and colourful costumes.
