24 Februari In November last year, Thomas Prechal won the prestigious National Cello Competition in Amsterdam. But he is also a composer – a great one! – and at Wonderfeel, he will combine both his talents. With Jorian van Nee at the piano, he performs 24 Februari, inspired by Moravian folk music – the part of the Czech Republic where Thomas’ roots lie. In any case, age is just a number; think of Brahms who, at his old age, still managed to coax a wave of youthfulness out of his pen in his second Cello Sonata. In this bold piece, described by a critic as ‘pure chaos’, the cello and the piano are truly evenly-matched!

Yes, on every festival day there is a program for kids, check out our Kids page for more information. And: entrance is free for children and youth up to 18 years! They do need an entrance ticket, which you can order through the ticketshop.
