When you grow up in the household of jazz musician and multi-instrumentalist Marius Preda, there is almost no other option as a classical pianist occasionally to break some rules. Eduard Preda studied with Jan Wijn, but together with his brother, double bass and bass guitar player Thomas, he thoroughly enjoys picking apart classical masterpieces. Or he jazzes up well-known music, like recently on Podium Witteman. In Chopin meets Jazz it’s the famous Nocturne Op. 9 No. 2’s turn to be played with.
