Alles Gute, Herr Sacher It’s always magical: a musician who is equally comfortable playing early music and new music, historically informed with a contemporary eye. The Irish-German cellist Nualla McKenna is like that. At Wonderfeel she will introduce you to a soulmate: the Swiss conductor Paul Sacher, who created the ancient music academy Schola Cantorum in Basel. For his 70th birthday, the people who composed pieces in celebration included Dutilleux, Britten and Lutosławski. And from earlier times she brings pieces by Martin Marais and Tobias Hume; while time seems to stop altogether in the Adagio from Kodály’s solo sonata.

What do the different stages entail?
At Wonderfeel we have the following stages: Het Veld, Het Weiland, De Bosplek, SOLO, De Schuur, Dichter onder de Boom, Het Dorp and Sound Bath. There are also some extra activities. You can find an overview of all stages here.
Is there kids’ programming?
Yes, on every festival day there is a program for kids, check out our Kids page for more information. And: entrance is free for children and youth up to 18 years! They do need an entrance ticket, which you can order through the ticketshop.
