The work of poet, singer and performer Fuensanta has a unique, elemental power – a power that she has been using for the past two years to shake Bimhuis to the core. In Ensamble Grande, her music and poetry form the common thread for a colourful company of briljant young musicians from all over Europe. An improvisatory homage to her beautifully colourful, but also raw home country Mexico and its folklore. Fuensanta’s songs are about myths, death, love, revolution, and nature, in a vulnerably honest and glowing performance.
