Throughout this past year, writer and theatre maker Marjolijn van Heemstra – Wonderfeel’s very first Festival Creative – went on more than fifty nightly wanders. The dark taught her to perceive her surroundings differently and, apart from a feeling of vulnerability, it also gave her surprising insights. In a theatrical reading, Marjolijn takes you with her on her journey through a landscape of shades of grey and tells you about the humans and animals she came across in the dark. Singer Hayat Iseliouen, an expert in wandering and getting lost, accompanies these stories with songs she wrote while wandering together with Marjolijn.
