Do you know the feeling of enjoying music so much you want to share it? Or the feeling of not quite understanding something and wanting to find out more? If so, the Wonderfeel Listening Club is perfect for you: with a small group of listeners, you will discuss new albums and inspiration, under the guidance of professional listener Jan Van den Bossche.
The next editions are scheduled for May 12 and June 9 from 8:00 pm to 9:30 pm via Zoom, and is all about duets. The music list includes:
- The Mad Lover: English baroque melancholy by Thomas Dunford (lute) and Théotime Langlois de Swarte (violin), with duets by Purcell, Eccles and Matteis. This duo can also be seen at Wonderfeel this year!
- From instrumental to vocal: on Hush, soprano Nora Fischer gives a contemporary interpretation of the songs of, among others, Purcell and Dowland, accompanied by Marnix Dorrestein on the electric guitar.
- We end with the German song repertoire with Im Abendrot: Songs by Wagner, Pfitzner, Strauss by baritone Matthias Goerne and Seong-Jin Cho on piano. If you want to be well prepared, make sure you have listened to Wagner’s Wesendonck Lieder and Strauss’s Vier Letzte Lieder!
