He dances, sings, jumps, shouts and plays. The character of Don Quijote, the nobleman of La Mancha, is known by most as a blundering anti-hero. But it’s his courage, his optimism, originality, loyalty and perseverance by which trombonist Sebastiaan Kemner feels perpetually inspired. Kemner’s solo programme De geniale gek (“The ingenious madman”) celebrates the power of vulnerability and the courage to be different.
