Welcome to Sanne Sanne’s etheral folk jazz. Singer Sanne Huijbregts writes music wrapped in glittering textures, rich vocal harmonies and seductive grooves. With her quartet Sanne Sanne, she connects the sensual sound of indie folk to the freshness of contemporary jazz. She grew up listening to Joni Mitchell, Yann Tiersen and the Beatles, and Sanne herself always felt captivated by the space, silence, loneliness and freedom in nature. ‘A sort of coral reef jazz’ is how the influential magazine Jazz & Mo described Sanne Sanne’s debut album Mountain Child; ‘angelic, light and catchy.’
