Choral sounds from Kosovo
The ReVocal Ensemble was formed by the ReMusica Festival in Kosovo and is known for its broad repertoire, ranging from early Albanian music, Renaissance, and baroque, with works by composers such as Gjergj Danush Lapacaj and Jan Kukuzeli, to modern compositions and contemporary world music. For Wonderfeel they chose music from Claudio Monteverdi to contemporary Baltic and Kosovar composers, complemented by folk music from Ireland, Finland, Albania, and Bulgaria. The cherry on the cake is a composition by conductor Rafet Rudi, a lauded composer himself.
