Münchener Cello Quartett – Monteverdi, Ravel, Wagner
Floris Mijnders, previously the principal cellist of the Rotterdam Philharmonic and currently of the Münchener Symphoniker, forms a true cello quartet together with three of his colleagues. Sonorous sounds are a given in this outspokenly eclectic programme full of arrangements of classical hits. We move from Telemann to Ravel via Wagner, and back to Monteverdi. But there will also be good old jazz, Irish folk songs and passionate tango.
