Luka Okros & Yaroslava Trofimchuk
If there’s anything we’ve gained from Wonderfeel-less 2020, it’s that we met Luka Okros: he was the soloist with the Wonderfeel Festival Orchestra at TivoliVredenburg. Today we welcome him in ’s Gravelands’s nature, together with cellist Yaroslava Trofimchuk. The Londoner duo is bringing Prokofiev’s Cello Sonata – which was approved by the skin of its teeth in the 1950s by the Union of Soviet Composers, albeit with plenty of low-key criticism – juxtaposed with the delicate Trois Pièces by Nadia Boulanger. The grand final Le Grand Tango by Boulangers student Astor Piazzolla will leave you with an energy boost to last the rest of the evening.
