Violinist Layale Chaker’s latest project opens up a sound archive of music passed down through her family: songs from southern Lebanon and Galilee. In an intimate cycle, she brings them to life once more—remembered, reworked, and passed on. Jazz touches on Arabic maqam, classical forms flow into improvisation. Old and new sounds come together, carried by voices from earlier generations. Music that endures and begins anew.
