Boomverzen
Jasmine Karimova wrote Boomverzen (Tree Verses) together with her 9-year-old sister Mira. In this musical meditation, they explore what we as individuals and society can learn from trees. The piece is performed by an ensemble of double bass, cello, flute and clarinet, featuring the sisters as guides who take the audience on an introspective journey through nature. Artist Johannes Offerhaus will create a tree tent specially for this performance, in which the tree is surrounded by a halo of light, enhancing the meditative atmosphere of the work.

26-year-old Jasmine Karimova is a Tajik-Australian composer, painter and actress living in the Netherlands. She is currently studying a master’s degree in classical composition at the Conservatory of Amsterdam.
