Arefeh Hekmatpanah (*1997)   
Iranian pianist, composer, performer and poet Arefeh Hekmatpanah focuses on infusing her cultural heritage into musical pieces and performances. She works with multiple disciplines such as dance and theater. Electronic music and improvisation are important elements in her detailed compositions. She studied classical piano at Tehran University and also pursued her master’s degree here, majoring in composition. She is currently studying at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. Arefeh has worked with ensembles and orchestras such as Riot ensemble, Slagwerk Den Haag and the Residentie Orkest.

Arefeh composes for the Ella Zirina Trio, with guest vocalist Mahdokht Mojiri.
