Ez kî me? / Who am I?

Meral Polat infuses the Kurdish soul with the raw energy of blues and unfiltered emotion. Accompanied by three virtuosic musicians, she brings hypnotic soundscapes to life in a deeply moving performance. Her debut album Ez Kî Me is a contemporary interpretation of Anatolian traditional music, at times a battle cry, at others a delicate call for identity and belonging. With their new show she presents her brand-new quartet program, creating a sonic world that blends different eras and cultures while staying true to their contemporary sound. The new program gives voice to women living on their own terms, celebrating female strength. Musically, it adds more rhythm, groove, rock ‘n’ roll, and power, sharing stories of resistance, struggle, and solidarity in the fight for women’s rights.
