Faces of Water
The multifaceted Martin Fondse, Composer Laureate of the Netherlands, travels through the twelve provinces. Making his way through Zeeland, South and North Holland, he tastes the water: what is its role here, how do we protect it, how do we view the climate? At Wonderfeel you will discover a performance by the Wonderfeel choir, formed by advanced amateur singers, with Fondse’s own trio – which originates in the jazz scene, just like himself – as well as a few wind and string players. Topical music, because ‘a lot of what you create as a composer in influenced by where you are, what you feel, what you think is important right now.’ An artist on the brink of a climate crisis.
