All’improvviso ‘We’ll just improvise something…’ famous last words, because high-level improvisation requires ample preparation. And Joris Roelofs knows this better than anyone. For his solo performance, he chose repertoire that he found in his research of the connections between improvisations and politics. The poetry improvisations of the Italian improvvisatori and improvvisatrici, improvisation during political debates, the inconceivable ban on improvisation of emperor Joseph II in 1770 – imagine someone accidentally blurting out some uncomfortable truth when you least expect it – it will all be covered in this performance with music and presentation.

What do the different stages entail?
At Wonderfeel we have the following stages: Het Veld, Het Weiland, De Bosplek, SOLO, De Schuur, Dichter onder de Boom, Het Dorp and Sound Bath. There are also some extra activities. You can find an overview of all stages here.
Is there kids’ programming?
Yes, on every festival day there is a program for kids, check out our Kids page for more information. And: entrance is free for children and youth up to 18 years! They do need an entrance ticket, which you can order through the ticketshop.
