De Toeslagenaffaire (the Childcare Benefits Scandal)
An indictment against societal wrongdoing and a musical plea for activism: De Toeslagenaffaire (the Dutch Childcare Benefits Scandal) is the name of Camiel Jansen’s recent composition as a part of his Keep an Eye Production Prize. He uses audio samples from politicians and people of power, derives melodies from them, and manipulates and develops these to slowly change their meaning. The composition finds a balance between contemporary classical music, minimal music, and jazz. Jansen’s goal is to offer listeners an active memory of today’s political wrongdoings
The annual Keep an Eye Production Prize was created by Keep an Eye in collaboration with Wonderfeel, to allow young creative makers to realise their artistic ideas and ambitions. They receive a cash prize of € 10.000 which they can use to create a new stage production, which is premiered during Wonderfeel and subsequently performed at other festivals in The Netherlands and abroad.

Prices are excluding € 1 service fee per ticket.
What do the different stages entail?
At Wonderfeel we have the following stages: Het Veld, Het Weiland, De Bosplek, SOLO, De Schuur, Dichter onder de Boom, Het Dorp and Sound Bath. There are also some extra activities. You can find an overview of all stages here.
Is there kids’ programming?
Yes, on every festival day there is a program for kids, check out our Kids page for more information. And: entrance is free for children and youth up to 18 years! They do need an entrance ticket, which you can order through the ticketshop.
